Phase III Trials
Synexus has carried out hundreds of Phase III clinical trials across multiple therapy areas and is now 'cornerstoning' many of the very large Phase III clinical trials by recruiting a substantial number of the patients, up to 4000 for a single trial, across several of its Dedicated Reseach Centres.
The strength of the Synexus model is particularly apparent in Phase III with so many trials involving large numbers of patients. Regardless of study size, the Synexus model, will speed up the trial, reduce costs and improve data quality.
Professional feasibility assessment
Because Synexus undertakes a professional feasibility assessment up front it can highlight issues in the study at a very early stage which if changed can speed up the trial and reduce costs.
Speed up
- As Synexus finds a large proportion of the patients using fewer sites, the time spent identifying and selecting investigators is reduced
- Lower number of site initiation visits are needed
Costs reduced
- Finding and initiating one investigator costs around $30,000 - one investigator on average enrolls five patients. One contract with Synexus covers one or several Dedicated Research Centres involving hundreds and even thousands of patients
- Monitoring costs are significantly reduced as there are only a handful of Synexus sites potentially managing thousands of patients.
Boosting patient numbers
In instances where patient numbers are not being achieved, Synexus is very well placed to find the additional patients to meet the sponsor's target. This can often be done without delaying the trial, particularly if the problem is identified when individual investigators are still trying to enroll patients on an opportunistic basis.
Better data
A data entry specialist at each Synexus Dedicated Research Centre double-checks every entry made by an investigator to resolve data queries immediately.
